Former Belgacom CEO Didier Bellens has died aged 60, his ex-employer confirmed in a statement.
Proximus, which completed its rebrand from Belgacom last year, said it had been informed that Bellens had passed away and paid tribute to the executive, who led the company from 2003 until 2013.
“Under his leadership Belgacom got listed on the stock exchange, and the company also launched digital TV in Belgium,” said Proximus.
“In these difficult moments the thoughts of the board, executive committee and employees of Proximus go to his family and relatives.”
