The UK Royal Television Society (RTS) has announced the winners of this year’s RTS Craft & Design Awards, including a new Director’s category.
The award for Director – Fiction went to Julian Farino for BBC Two’s Marvellous, while Director – Non-Fiction went to Colette Camden for BBC Four’s What Do Artists Do All Day? Sue Webster.
Jury chairs awards for Design & Craft Innovation and The Judges Award wen respectively to the production teams of BBC One series Pets – Wild At Heart and BBC Two drama Wolf Hall.
Other winners included Amy Roberts for Costume Design – Drama for her work on Cilla (ITV); David Roger for Production Design – Drama for Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell (BBC One); Samuel Sim for Music – Original Score and Music – Original Title for Home Fires (ITV); Kate Hopkins, Tim Owens, Will Slater and Graham Wild for Sound – Entertainment and Non Drama Productions for Shark (BBC One); and Pauline Fowler, Nik Williams, Samantha Ives and Mary Hanrahan for Effects – Special for Fortitude (Sky Atlantic).
The awards were hosted by comedian Susan Calman at the Hilton Park Lane hotel in London on Monday night.
