TV Entertainment Reality Network (TERN) has partnered with Joiz Global, which will provide it with interactive, data collection and cross-platform analytics capabilities for TERN’s newly launched Ultra HD channel Insight.
Through the deal, the Netherlands-based broadcaster and producer will be able to monetise audiences across platforms, with the cloud-based joiz Global platform developed to serve audiences across devices including desktop computers, tablets and mobiles.
The online platform will let Insight viewers register for free, create a profile and engage with the new channel, sharing comments and content, voting in polls, participating in competitions and accessing a loyalty club. An Insight app is available now for iOS and Android.
“Insight is at the vanguard of the UHD movement and is set to become a pioneering force in the new broadcasting landscape. Integrating the proprietary technology from Joiz Global with the channel’s state-of-the-art linear broadcasts will create a truly immersive experience for viewers. This approach will build a dynamic, engaged community and offer Insight valuable data to help monetize audiences across all platforms,” said Samuel Gähwiler, managing director of Joiz Global.
Mariam Zamaray, CEO of TERN said: “Viewers are increasingly watching content on multiple devices so broadcasters and advertisers must find whole new ways to connect, entertain and engage with them. Not only will Joiz Global’s community marketing solution empower Insight to place viewers at the very heart of the action, it provides our advertisers and business partners with whole new ways to attract and interact with audiences.”
