TV technology firm Motive Television narrowed its losses and reported revenue and profits gains from continuing operations as it prepares to launch PVR functionality and OTT channels for its TabletTV product this autumn.
Announcing its half-year results, Motive said that revenue from continuing operations was up 17% to £673,410 (€921,470) in the first half, with gross profit from continuing operations up 6% to £292,757.
Motive’s operating loss – attributable to continuing activities and developing new business – decreased by 12% to a loss of £955,283.
“The first half of 2015 saw the company making substantial progress in completing development and testing of new products, identifying distribution partners, and preparing them for widespread marketing in the autumn,” said chairman Michael Pilsworth.
“At the same time, the Company reduced its cost structure and is positioned to start to reap the benefits of its investment in technology and positioning in the industry over the past six years.”
