Motive TV taps iWedia for TabletTV red button services

Motive TV has tapped Switzerland-based TV technology firm iWedia to help power its TabletTV UK application. 

iWedia is providing its MHEG-5 engine, which will support ‘red button’ interactive services on the app. TabletTV works with a battery-powered portable tuner to offer Freeview television on tablets in the UK.

“Supporting the ‘red button’ services is a key advantage of our TabletTV UK product. In order to efficiently achieve that goal, it was essential for us to leverage a third party’s MHEG-5 software and expertise; iWedia has been the ideal partner with that respect,” said Leonard Fertig, CEO at Motive.
