Liberty Global mulls TV3 Ireland deal

Liberty Global is reportedly interested in acquiring Irish commercial broadcaster TV3 and is conducting due diligence on the business. 

According to an Irish Times report Friday, which cites informed sources, Liberty Global is at an advanced staged of the process, though regulatory and ministerial clearance means the deal “could still be months away.”

The report claims that TV3, which is controlled by private equity firm Doughty Hanson, has been up for sale for a number of months.

The Irish Examiner reported separately over the weekend that TV3 may be valued at more than €100 million if Liberty goes through with the deal.
