Polish pay TV provider Cyfrowy Polsat has introduced the ability to record two programmes simultaneously on its PVR HD 7000 set-top boxes.
Users will also be able to switch between two recordings that are ongoing.
Cyfrowy Polsat is also making software changes to a number of other set-tops, introducing new features to its HD 2000, HD 3000, HD 5000 and HD 6000 lines as well as the PVR HD 7000.
EPG data will now be automatically downloaded, with a new icon indicating the availability of content on Cyfrowy Polsat’s OTT service Ipla. The pay TV operator is also introducing the ability to connect its HD 2000, HD 3000, HD 5000 and HD 6000 set-tops to external hard drives, enabling them to be used to record shows.
Cyfrowy Polsat is unique in the Polish market in providing its own set-top boxes from its own dedicated facility.
