Xstream names new CEO as Thorup steps down

TV technology company Xstream has named Simon Høgsbro as its new CEO, replacing Frank Thorup, who is stepping down after 15 years.

over on March 16. Prior to joining Xstream, he led New Zealand-based VoD service Lightbox’s incubation from its strategy and business planning phase to launch. Lightbox marked service provider Spark New Zealand’s entry into the OTT SVoD space, set up as a standalone business selling to all New Zealand ISP customers.

Thorup, who founded Xstream in 1999 will continue as Director Xstream Americas where he will continue to build and strengthen the company’s brand and presence in the North and South American markets, according to the company.
