Belarusian service provider Beltelecom has now signed up 300,000 customers to its GPON fibre network, the company has announced.
Beltelecom is deploying GPON-based fibre-to-the home across Belarus in new and existing apartment blocks, offices and public buildings. The network is capable of delivering speeds of up to 1Gbps or more, making high-speed internet and access to the operator’s Zala TV service available to subscribers.
Salihorsk resident Oleg Ivanovich Gajdukevich was named as the 300,000th customer by the operator. He was given free access to Beltelecom’s Byfly internet and Zala TV offering for one year to mark the passing of the milestone.
