Turner’s TruTV joins TVPlayer in the UK

Turner Broadcasting-owned UK entertainment channel TruTV has gone live over-the-top streaming platform TVPlayer.

The new addition takes the total number of channels available on TVPlayer to 50, which UK viewers can access over WiFi or mobile networks from a range of devices including PCs, mobiles, tablets and smart TVs.

TVPlayer has licensed multi-platform live streaming rights for TruTV and its time-delayed TruTV+1 feed. From later this quarter, viewers will also be able to access seven-day catchup content from the channel on TVPlayer.

TruTV airs both original and unscripted programming, including shows like Container Wars, South Beach Tow, Tattoo Nightmares and Ink Master.

TVPlayer is a UK service that is owned and operated by Simplestream, a provider of live streaming and CatchupTV solutions to broadcast and media companies.
