Inmarsat appoints former KLM CFO to board

Satellite operator Inmarsat has appointed Robert Ruijter, the former CFO of firms including KLM Royal Dutch Airlines, publishing company VNU and electronic components maker ASM International, to its board.

Ruijter will join as an additional non-executive director on February. He currently also sits on the supervisory boards of Dutch cable operator Ziggo and piping manufacturer Wavin and is also on the board of Interxion.

“The Inmarsat board is delighted that Rob Ruijter has agreed to join our board. He brings excellent financial experience from across a broad range of global companies. The board believes he will be a great addition, providing strong financial and commercial inputs,” said Inmarsat chairman, Andrew Sukawaty.
