Discovery has added the COO position to Doug Baker’s current CFO role at its international business.
Baker is now COO and CFO at Discovery Networks International, reporting to recently appointed DNI president JB Perrette and Discovery Communications CFO Andrew Warren.
He will continue to handle the financial management of the DNI business as well as now overseeing strategy and research. DNI’s regional COOs and CFOs will report to Baker.
The COO role he is adding to his responsibilities was previously taken by John Honeycutt. He was upped to chief technology officer at Discovery Communications earlier this month.
“Doug has been a key architect in the evolution of the international business over the past few years, which is emblematic of his collaborative spirit and controlled risk taking,” said Warren.
Baker joined Discovery in 2005 from Hallmark.
