Set-top box provider Amino has chosen quality assurance specialist Witbe’s technology to automate testing of its digital TV set-top boxes.
Witbe’s automated testing solution relies on robots that are capable of replicating the actions of a TV viewer on the set-top box.
“Amino is proud of its high quality products and solutions which delivers market leading user experiences across multiple middlewares. For many years we have employed automated test systems but had found there was a limitation with their ability to interpret quality of experience. When we found out about Witbe, we realized there was a solution for those limitations, and a whole lot of possibilities left unexploited,” said Frazer Smith, head of software quality assurance at Amino.
“Witbe demonstrated the power of their advanced MOS algorithm and it became clear to us we needed to move on to a next generation testing solution, more efficient and in line with our evolving needs and product portfolio.”
