Azerbaijan-based commercial news channel ANS (Azerbaijani News Service) is partnering with international news provider Enex, becoming an affiliate of the latter in this region.
Under the deal, ANS will gain exclusive access to the video, live transmission and production facilities of the Enex network across the globe, while Enex will be able to access ANS’s reporting from Azerbaijan.
Enex currently has 42 members, including the channels from RTL Group in Europe, Sky News in the UK, CBS in the United States, TBS in Japan and TV Azteca in Mexico. The firm organises the exchange of video with accompanying editorial information and transmission services for its members.
ANS has been on air since 1991 and claims to have been the first independent broadcaster in the former Soviet Union.
