Poland’s TVN launches second news channel

Polish broadcaster TVN Group has launched a second news channel that will focus on business matters, as well as looking at political and economic relations between Poland and the rest of the world.

TVN24 Biznes i Świat joins the existing TVN24 news channel and will cover breaking news from the Polish and foreign markets, featuring international affairs as well as analysis and commentary.

“When our first news channel, TVN24 was launched 13 years ago, numerous media experts claimed this an entirely pointless idea. Overtime we have achieved a spectacular success with TVN24. I am convinced that this second news channel precisely meets current market demand,” said Adam Pieczyński, editor-in-chief TVN24 and TVN24 Biznes i Świat.

The network is available throughout Poland on: satellite platforms NC+, Cyfrowy Polsat and Orange; cable TV platforms UPC, Vectra, Multimedia, Toya and INEA; and on IPTV platforms Orange and Netia.
