The Multimedia-over-Coax Alliance (MoCA) has launched a certification programme for products running the MoCA 2.0 specification.
“The MoCA certification program for MoCA 2.0 products will enable manufacturers to verify their next generation of connected home technology products,” said Stephen Palm, MoCA certification board chair, and senior technical director, Broadcom.
MoCA technology is the worldwide standard for home entertainment networking. MoCA 2.0 offers two performance modes of 400 and 800 Mbps net throughputs, while MoCA 2.0 Golden Nodes, for testing interoperability, are available from both Broadcom and Entropic.
