Netflix aims at TV with interface revamp

Streaming service Netflix has today launched a new “much richer and more immersive” design.

The new look has been created “specifically for the big screen [television]”, featuring multiple cinematic images, new shows descriptions and personalised details on suggested programming.

Netflix said the new design will help to bring the experience of the using the platform on different devices in line with each other. To this point, features have taken various lengths of time to launch on different devices.

“This is the biggest change to the Netflix experience on televisions in our history, making it even easier to find something great to watch on Netflix, bringing our members many more hours of Netflix enjoyment on their TVs,” said Netflix chief product officer Neil Hunt.

The launch rolls out today and be available to all Netflix users globally within two weeks.
