Orange-owned video sharing site Dailymotion has struck a deal with the US National Football League (NFL) to bring American football to users in France, Belgium and Switzerland.
Dailymotion will provide game highlights, variety content, and streaming of select live matches for the 2013-14 season.
The first live stream is scheduled for this Sunday on the NFL dedicated channel on Dailymotion.
Julie Moeller, vice president of NFL international media business development said: “We are constantly looking at innovative ways to make content more accessible for our fans and are pleased to partner with Dailymotion.”
“Dailymotion is pleased to welcome the NFL which provides, without a doubt, some of the most exciting events in the world in terms of athletic performance but also in terms of video quality. This partnership confirms the rise of our Sports channel in terms of high value-added content,” said Martin Rogard, executive vice-president, Dailymotion. “We are happy to be able to follow this season which promises to be exciting.”
