Swisscom is amalgamating its bluewin.ch internet portal with the Swisscom TV online mobile TV offering and will create a new format for the service from the end of this month.
Swisscom said that the portal, which is visited by about 700,000 users daily, will deliver a larger proportion of entertainment content than hitherto. According to the company, the focus will be on the TV experience and the portal will also include new exclusive columns, comedy and satire content.
All Swisscom TV channels can be viewed live and free of charge on the portal, on PCs, tablet or smartphone. Additional video content will also be available to users. Depending on their subscription, Swisscom TV customers will be able use a replay function to watch up to the last 30 hours of shows via the service. Editorial articles on the bluewin.ch portal have also been expanded to include current TV programme recommendations or VoD tips, according to Swisscom.
