UPC Netherlands is to boost the number of HD services it broadcasts to 50 from October 1 when it adds new channels to its offering, and is extending the catch-up period available to viewers of national channels Netherlands 1, 2 and 3.
The Liberty Global-owned cable operator is adding E! Entertainment Television HD and Nat Geo Wild HD to its HD line up, while UPC Film1 Comeday & Kids HD will joint the service’s premium offering.
UPC is also to extend the catch-up availability of programmes on public broadcaster NPO’s Netherlands 1, 2 and 3 channels from three to eight days.
