Russian Orthodox religious channel SPAS TV has secured the slot on the country’s second digital-terrestrial multiple vacated by TV Tsentr (Centre TV).
The slot on the multiplex was opened up to competitive applications in September after Moscow city channel TV Tsentre was moved to the first multiplex on the orders of President Vladimir Putin, who included the channel in a list of mandatory services for nationwide distribution in April.
SPAS TV will join Ren TV, CTC, Domashniy, VGTRK’s Sport, NTV+’s Sport+, Zvezda, Mir, TNT and Muz-TV on the second mux.
