Broadpeak to highlight CDN products

CDN specialist Broadpeak is using IBC to highlight its umbrellaCDN, operatorCDN, streaming servers and nanoCDN offerings.

umbrellaCDN is a CDN selection product for content providers and operators. According to Broadpeak, using umbrellaCDN, content providers and operators can deliver live and VOD content with the best possible QoE.

The CDN for each end-user request is selected according to operator-defined, rule-based parameters, such as end-user location, end-user ISP, group of content.

Relying on a combination of Broadpeak’s BkM100 CDN Mediator and BkA100 video delivery analytics products, operatorCDN provides operators with all the tools to deploy and manage their own CDN system, including user profiles, billing information, quotas, and analytics.

Broadpeak will also show its streaming servers, with the ability to stream media in formats including the MPEG DASH standard, and the ability to reach 30Gbps streaming capacity.

Leveraging home networks, nanoCDN resolves live OTT consumption peak issues by turning millions of broadband gateways or set-tops into active components of the content delivery infrastructure, according to Broakpeak. With nanoCDN, operators can manage the consumption peaks of live multiscreen services for millions of simultaneous viewers using only a few megabits per second from the operator’s network, according to the company.

Broadpeak will also highlight advanced IPTV services including fast channel change, packet loss recovery and NDVR, and its C-CAS conditional access system for adaptive streaming. According to the company, C-CAS can enable operators to offer like services across new and legacy set-tops by bringing the benefits of adaptive streaming to the main screen without changing the set-tops.
