Russia’s TTC close to acquiring Magnitogorsk operator

Russian service provider TransTelecom (TTC) is close to acquiring Magnitogorsk broadband and pay TV provider Maginfo, according to local reports. 

According to Vedomosti, citing a source close to one of the parties, TTC, which has expanded to new cities offering TV a mix of cable and IPTV technology, is close to acquiring the regional operator, which has a base of about 60,000 broadband and a similar number of TV customers. Magino’s network passes about 140,000 homes in total.

TTC currently has about 1.2 million customers in around 200 towns and cities.
