Cloud-based TV operator Magine has launched in beta in Germany, its first European expansion since debuting in Sweden in March.
Magine is a subscription service that combines live linear TV, catch-up and on-demand programming, delivered from the cloud to TV screens, smartphones, tablets or computers.
Viewers in Germany can sign up now for the beta trial, with Magine promising deployments in “several other European territories” by the end of the year.
“Germany is a vital territory for us and we are looking forward to working with the country’s top content providers,” said Magine’s Chairman Michael Werner.
In Sweden, Magine hosts national Swedish broadcasters, SVT and TV4, as well as international channels and studios including CNN International, BBC, Eurosport, National Geographic, Nickelodeon and Cartoon Network.
