SES chooses AmberFin for playout centre

Satellite operator SES has chosen file-based media ingest specialist AmberFin to provide its iCR software platform to support the workflow at SES Platform Services’ broadcast centre in Munich.

AmberFin iCR is being used to provide a unified platform to support all media ingest, file transcoding and quality control management operations. iCR has been integrated alongside the customer’s existing Harris D-Series automation system.

AmberFin has worked with its German channel partner, Wiesbaden-based Netorium, on the project.

SES Platform Services provides technical support for broadcasters and production companies and offers a range of services for the preparation and transmission of content for over 300 TV and radio channels.
