Satellite operator SES’s has extended its partnership with Telekom Srbija by signing a new multi-year capacity deal on the SES-owned Astra 3B satellite at 23.5 degrees east.
Telekom Serbija currently uses capacity via SES’s 19.2 degrees east orbital position to provide direct-to-home transmission of the public TV channels RTS Sat and Radio Beograd in Serbia.
Under the new deal, Telekom Srbija will use the additional 23.5° East capacity for TV, radio and data services. Martin Ornass-Kubacki, SES’s vice president and chief regional officer of Central Eastern Europe said the deal marked “an important milestone as we continue to provide capacity to Telekom Srbija from a new orbital position also for non-DTH services.”
