Moldovan service provider Moldtelecom is deploying Entone’s Kamai 500 hybrid media players to deliver advanced TV services.
Moldtelecom is expanding its IPTV offering to include services such as network-based digital video recording, pause and restart of live TV programmes and catch-up TV.
Entone’s Kamai 500 supports H.264 and VC-1 video as well as a range of audio and transcoding capabilities. It also features 5GHz WiFi and adaptive bit-rate support.
“We needed a reliable and flexible solution for delivering high-quality video services while expanding our service offering to include emerging cloud-based services,” stated Constantine Sevciuc, marketing director at Moldtelecom. “Because Entone’s Kamai is fully integrated with our existing eco-system, we are able to quickly and cost-effectively roll-out advanced services to our growing subscriber base.”
