Israel-based satellite services provider RRsat is launching a new solution for international broadcasters to reach cable headends and DTH in Russia and the Commonwealth of Independent States.
The end-to-end solution includes a range of services from content capture, production and management through to distribution and playout services from the RRsat Emek HaEla teleport in Israel.
RRsat says it will use the Ku-Band MCPC platform on the new Yamal-300K satellite, which reaches 98% of the population in the western, central and eastern regions of Russia and the CIS. This satellite was launched last year and is designed for carrying SD, HD and 3D content.
