Samsung has launched an app for Channel 4’s video-on-demand service, 4oD, on its connected TV sets in the UK.
Available on all 2012 Samsung Smart TV models, 4oD will join apps by firms like Netflix, LoveFilm and YouTube in Samsung’s Smart TV store.
Sarah Milton, head of VOD at Channel 4, said the launch came as the company continues “to widen the reach of Channel 4 content onto key platforms.”
The 4oD service allows viewers to choose from the last seven to 30 days of Channel 4 shows as well as library content from the network.
The on-demand service is already available online on Channel4.com and YouTube; as an app for iOS mobiles and tablets and Android tablets; on PS3 and XBox games consoles; and on the Sky, YouView, Virgin Media and BT Vision TV platforms.
