DRM and online video specialist Saffron Digital has appointed former Capablue executive Craig Chuter as sales director for Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
Tasked with driving growth in this region, Chuter joins from connected TV app specialist Capablue where he worked as client and partner director and before that head of business development, building up the firm’s broadcast and media clients.
Chuter previously worked as business manager at EMC Consulting (formerly Conchango) where he managed a portfolio of clients that included the BBC, News Corp and Disney.
“The European market is really embracing multiplatform video services and as a result we have a number of exciting projects and clients in the pipeline,” said Saffron Digital’s chief commercial officer Amelia Gammon.
“Craig’s strong experience with broadcasters and retailers in the European digital entertainment industry makes him perfectly placed to secure and support those customers and identify other companies looking to launch premium multiplatform video services in the region.”
The hire comes after Saffron appointed Yahoo!’s former director of engineering, Yoel Marson, as its new chief technology officer in October.
