NTV Plus scoops English Premier League rights

Russian pay TV operator NTV Plus has acquired exclusive rights to broadcast English Premier League football matches in the country for the next three seasons.

Following a tender in mid-December, the Premier League decided to sell the rights exclusively to NTV Plus to air on its sports channels, online and via mobile applications, adding to the roster of international football competitions aired by the broadcaster, including Germany’s Bundesliga, Italian Serie A and Spain’s La Liga as well as the UEFA Champions League and Europa League competitions, and the Russian domestic football championship.
