Hungarian telco Magyar Telecom has reached the landmark of 300,000 IPTV customers.
Magyar’s T-Home Interactive TV subscriber base passed the 300,000 mark at the start of December. The telco also said that its on-demand service Videotéka now registers 100,000 views per month.
“Early this year we stated that 2012 would be the year of interactive television in Hungary. As we have greeted our three hundred thousandth subscriber I can only confirm this statement. One of our surveys this year reveals that every third TV viewer expects to consume content consciously and selectively. Telekom’s innovation will continue to focus on being able to deploy technology in the service of customer experience,” said Christopher Mattheisen, Magyar Telekom’s Chairman-CEO.
