Unitymedia continues fibre expansion

German cable operator Unitymedia has expanded its fibre network to the Steinfurt-Burgsteinfurt and Borghorst regions.

Unitymedia has rolled its EuroDOCSIS 3.0 network out to around 8,000 homes in Steinfurt-Burgsteinfurt and Borghorst. These households can now receive up to 150Mbps broadband and digital TV services.

Unitymedia, which provides services to homes in North Rhine-Westphalia and Hesse, said it had now rolled fibre services out to 90% of its network.
