OTE launches in-house movie networks

Greek telco OTE is launching its own movie channels, one of which will offer films in HD.

The company, which operates an IPTV and a DTH platform, will launch OTE Cinema 1 HD and OTE Cinema 2 HD on November 5.

OTE Cinema 1 HD will offer recent blockbusters, including TV premieres, in HD. Each week, the channel will air back-to-back film franchises. OTE Cinema 2 will offer a mix of Hollywood blockbusters, and independent, European titles.

Between them, the new channels will broadcast over 500 movies a year.

OTE Cinema 1 HD and OTE Cinema 2 will be included in the Full OTE TV package for €19.90 per month.
