The Open IPTV Forum has added a raft of five new companies to its membership.
Dotscreen, Espial, Perpetual Solutions, Stingray Digital Group and The Weather Network/MeteoMedia have joined the organisation, which aims to promote standards for IP-delivered video.
Nilo Mitra, OIPF president, said: “These latest new members signify growing interest from content providers and application developers as we go to market with deployment of our specifications, and shows that the industry recognises the common application platform for connected TVs established by the OIPF browser specification.”
