Sports entertainment channel Trace Sports is making its debut in Russia after signing deals with two of the country’s pay TV operators.
The channel will launch this month in HD on Tricolor TV, reaching over 10 million subscribers. Trace has also signed a content deal with Interesnoe TV in partnership with distribution company Red Media Holdings.
Trace Sports’ CEO Laurent Dumeau said: “With the ever-increasing demand for sports’ programs and the aspirational interest in outstanding people in Russia and in the CIS, Trace Sports is pleased to be entering one of the most promising pay TV markets in Europe thanks to its two major partners Tricolor TV and Interesnoe TV. On the eve of this year’s biggest sports event, Trace Sports will no doubt broaden the traditional offer of sports channels in Russia.”
