Sky Italia is launching flagship arts channel Sky Arte HD on its pay TV network.
The channel, dedicated to Italian cultural and artistic heritage, will launch on November 1. It will feature a schedule that includes reports, magazines, features, edutainment and infotainment shows as well as reality programmes on art and original profiles of those in the art scene.
Andrea Zappia, CEO of Sky Italia, said, “Sky Arte HD is the latest example of how Sky Italia contributes concretely to the development and the growth of the country, by continuing to invest in such a delicate moment for Italy. Sky Arte HD will tell the stories of Italy’s art and artists, of well-known stars and emerging talents, and closely follow cultural events. The channel will thus drive the awareness and popularity of an invaluable part of our society that makes us proud to be Italian every day.”
