Russian pay TV service Platforma HD is to cease broadcasting on July 1, the company has announced.
Platforma HD’s subscribers will be able to obtain a refund on the balance of existing contracts. The operator, which also delivers its service via a number of cable operators, provides a package of HD channels including National Geographic HD, MTVN HD, Nat Geo Wild HD and Eurosport HD as well as Russian channels including Rossiya 1, Rossiya 2, Rossiya 24, Karusel, NTV, TNT, Ren TV and others.
Platforma launched its platform in 2008 via the Eutelsat 9 satellite.
