Videofutur strikes deal with Sony

French video-on-demand and DVD rental group Videofutur has struck a deal for on-demand content with Sony, giving its subscribers access to current movies including The Adventures of Tintin and The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo.

The deal will also give Videofutur’s customer base access to about 200 catalogue titles including Spiderman, Men in Black and Taxi Driver.

Separately, Videofutur has increased its capital base by €2.8 million through an issue of new shares.
