Taiwanese media company Azio is launching a new entertainment channel across Asia and Europe and has struck a deal with Japanese talent agency Yoshimoto Kogyo for a raft of content.
The channel – Yoshimoto Azio – will launch in China, Hong Kong, Malaysia and Singapore on April 1 and will also have distribution in Europe and North America.
The channel will air a raft of variety, comedy, food, travel, music and general entertainment series.
“The producers from the other Asian countries involved want to learn from the Japanese TV productions. We’d also like to see a lot of Yoshimoto’s comedy programs and comedians on the channel,” Azio president Grace Ko told local press.
