France Telecom-backed Polish telco Telekomunikacja Polska ended 2011 with 636,000 TV customers, a 17% year-on-year increase.
TP’s DTH platform accounted for 527,000 of those customers, having added 100,000 during the course of the year. The remaining customers subscribed to IPTV services.
The total TV figure means over a quarter of TP’s broadband subscribers also take TV services. The telco added 60,000 broadband customers during the course of the year, leaving it with a base of 2.35 million.
Full year revenue for TV and broadband services was down slightly to PLN1.52 billion (€364 million) from PLN1.57 in 2010.
