CEE pay TV revenues to climb gradually

Pay TV revenues across central and eastern Europe will grow modestly over the next five years, according to the latest forecasts.

Informa Telecoms & Media says that cumulative pay TV revenues across the region were US$5.6 billion (€4.2 billion) in 2011 compared with US$5.3 billion a year earlier. The steady, albeit modest, annual increases will continue through to 2016, according to Informa analysts. They predict full-year pay TV revenues will come in at US$5.8 billion this year. They will top US$6 billion in 2013 before totaling US$6.3 billion in 2014 and US$6.5 billion in 2015.
