UPC Netherlands signed up its one-millionth digital TV customer and has made five movies available free of charge to celebrate.
The cable operator reached the landmark last month after launching the service in its current form in 2005. Digital subscribers can watch The Little Bear, The Bank Job, Coco Chanel, Mr Magorium’s Wonder Emporium and The Wrestler for free until January 22.
“We are thrilled that out of our over 1.8 million customers, one million have chosen Digital TV from UPC. Customers choose digital television because of better picture and sound quality and the convenience of interactive services such as [catch-up] and UPC On Demand,” said UPC marketing director Mark Giesbers.
