Russian telecom operator TransTeleCom (TTC) is to launch TV services in various cities and towns across the country.
TTC vice-president Svetlana Shamzon told attendees at the Broadband Russia Forum that the company would launch analogue cable, digital cable and IPTV services. The analogue service will include 60 TV channels including eight national public channels, while the digital cable offering will include up to 120 channels and IPTV services, where available would include over 200 channels, including HD services.
The analogue service is expected to launch in a number of cities from the end of this year as a low-cost social package.
