UPC Romania is launching 3D channel High TV on its service, marking the launch of the first dedicated 3D channel in the country.
The channel will be launched as part of UPC Romania’s FilmBox package, which includes 13 HD channels including channels from HBO, Eurosport, History Channel and Discovery. In its first year, High TV aims to air 400 hours of 3D content. This comes as the international broadcaster struck a deal with satellite services operator SES to launch the channel across Europe.
