Eurovision chooses MPEG-4 4:2:2 10-bit contribution from ATEME

The Eurovision organization has chosen ATEME’s Kyrion CM4104 encoder to provide MPEG-4 4:2:2 10-bit contribution feeds over the EBU Eurovision network.

ATEME said the deal confirmed the maturity of MPEG-4 4:2:2 10-bit compression two years after its introduction.
MPEG-4 4:2:2 10-bit offers an alternative to the widely used JPEG2000 compression format for contribution.
