Olympics enters new dimension


The organisers of the Olympics, the event’s broadcast services company and a key 3D TV set manufacturer have joined forces to provide 3D coverage of next summer’s games.

The International Olympic Committee, the Olympic Broadcasting Service and Panasonic have inked an agreement and will work together to provide TV rights holders around the world with coverage of the opening and closing ceremonies and key sporting events in 3D. In all, there will be over 200 hours of 3D TV coverage from the event
