Central European Media Enterprises (CME) has launched a video-on-demand service in Croatia.
The new service, dubbed Oyo, is the Croatian version of CMEs VOD service Voyo, which was launched in the Czech Republic in January. The Croatian portal will offer free catch up local content from Nova TVÂs and DomaÂs archive including Best Years and Red Carpet as well as live events including Champions League football.
While catch-up TV will be offered for free, users will have the option to see episodes of shows ahead of their linear broadcast transmission. Oyo will also offer (initially about 100) on-demand movies including Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows (parts 1 and 2), Due Date and Life as We Know It.
A version of the service for smartphones will launch by the end of the year, according to CME.Â
