Rovi signs with Toshiba

Toshiba has signed a deal with digital TV technology company Rovi for the use of Rovi Total Guide and its interactive programme guide patent portfolio in TVs, Blu-ray players as well as mobile and tablet devices in the US and Europe, expected to be sold in spring 2012.

Rovi TotalGuide unifies search, discovery and recommendations across internet and broadcast services. Rovi and Toshiba will also work together to launch new interactive advertising capabilities on Toshiba devices.
