Cable, satellite and IPTV viewers in France numbered 34.4 million for the period from January to June, out of a total of 58.5 million individuals with a TV, according to the latest survey by audience measurement agency Médiamétrie. This represented growth of 2.4% on the previous survey.
Among pay TV channels, Canal Plus Sport and TF1-owned TV Breizh were the most popular, with an audience share of 0.8% each. Four channels M6-owned Paris Première and Téva, Disney Channel and AB Group-backed RTL 9  had a 0.7% share, while Canal Plus Family, Eurosport and Universal-owned 13ème Rue had 0.6%. These were followed by Canal Plus Décalé (the time-shifted version of the main channel), Syfy Universal and TF1-backed information channel LCI with 0.5%. AB1, Canal Plus Cinéma, Comédie Plus, Disney Junior and TF6 each took a 0.4% share.Â
